Microgreen Production

Our class produced a variety microgreens (sunflowers, corn, radish) in the school greenhouse and harvested them for use by student chefs at the Durham College bistro. This gave us the opportunity to get some experience with plant propagation/cultivation in a greenhouse environment.

Irrigation Systems

This is a picture of myself setting up part of one of the irrigation systems in the greenhouse. We learned all about the various types of systems, their advantages/disadvantages, and how to use them. This enabled us to experiment with different irrigation methods and get a feel for basic set-up & maintenance.
